Tractor
2007 4110 Mahindra w/ M112 loader and Kubota B2910 w/ loader.
I am starting to look into a replacement for my 1910 Ford and going for a little more Hp and getting away from the two stage clutch but keep the gear transmission.
I have it narrowed down to these possibilities Branson 3820 or 4220, Montana 3840 or 4540, Mahindra 3510 or 4110 and NH TC40 0r TC45.
I have dealers for all with in 40 miles with 2 Branson and 1 NH dealers being closest.
Those of you with experience with any these models what are your impressions, how is the dependabilty and parts/ service availability?
Thanks

JEFF: If you have a Kubota dealer within in a reasonable distance, I would look there also. You may want to look at the Kubota L4400 (gross hp 45.3) single stage clutch, PTO hp 37.3; it has the muscle with Kubota reliability and a fair price. I don't recall anyone complaining about their performance.

I still own all three major brands: JD-Kubota-2000 Ford 1720, but most of my fleet of 10, are Kubota's because of the reliability; they don't break, and one of the Kubota's, a L295DT is having it's 30th birthday, with only fluid changes and minor adjustments! All of these tractors were purchased new! Good luck on your search.

Thanks for the reply, I have two Kubota dealers witin 35 miles also.
I like the Branson and Mahindra because of somethings that come as stock items which would be options on the more main line tractors. Also the flat operators deck on the Brnson and Mahindras.
I believe I will go look at the Kubotas in my search. I'm in no hurry as my 1910 is still in good shape, just have the new tractor itch and would like to have better hydraulics and a bit more hp. Jeff

What is the price spread on those tractors? Are you looking for value priceing? or more name brand stuff.

I'll bet that TC40 is a great machine.. though up next to the montana or branson may not be the cheapest.

I bought a used TC 40 about two months ago. It has 1500 hours on it and the previous owner's version of maintenance was putting fuel in it:rolleyes: . With the exception of the turn signal lights on the ROPS, there was nothing broken on the tractor that I can blame on poor design. (The lenses for those lights are much stronger than the frame, so any stress on the frame is transferred directly to the lens.)
The unit still starts every time, runs great, drives great, looks great.

I have used a Montana 3840 that I borrowed from a friend.
It came with 2 rear remotes which he needs to run his stump grinder, my TC 40 only has a single, so that's plus one for the Montana.
The foot throttle on the Montana was placed very poorly for me and caused leg cramps when doing loader work, so that's minus one.
I love the fact that I can get parts for the NH online, and where I live I could drive the tractor to my NH dealer.

I'm sure everybody has a different oppinion on what tractor to get, but these are my personnal experiences.
One other thing, my 16LA loader on my TC 40 is a skid steer type quick attach, so finding implements is a breeze--if you plan on getting a loader, a skid steer type plate is a must!! (in my opinion)

I am going to look at the Branson 4220 and the Mahindra 4110 this weekend.
I've pretty much ruled out the Montana as I don't beleive they have a flat operator platform.
I've looked at the TC40D before and will get a quote on one soon, the local dealer has treated my family very well in the past and I want to give him a chance.
I pretty much have it down to the Mahindra 4110 and the NH TC40D.
