Greetings all,
I am looking for replacement front tires (Firestone 8.3x16 tubeless currently) and don't see a lot out there. Dealer says they now replace with a 8x16 supplied by Farm Bureau ($175). I do see two immediate choices from Ken Jones; one a Goodyear Power Torque (in stock) and an OTR Traction Master (not in stock). they are both @ $210 and both 6 ply.
I am not keen on going to a smaller tire for the possible ratio difference and support in soft soil, though .3" may not make such a difference.
Given my usage, is there an advantage to any of these tires? I am leaning towards the 8.3x16 but wonder about quality of either.
I use my Kubota in hilly country scraping gravel roads, moving snow, firewood, mowing and whatever else you can find to do with the loader. So far, the Firestone R-1 has served me well, except on ice when I put chains on front, which is simpler.
Thanks!
