Replacement tires for NH 56 Hay Rake

I didn't want to spend too much on replacements. Really wanted used. The wheels are 15" and someone before me had but some old radial car/truck tires on it. They are really too wide. I had heard you can use old volkswagon tires but I haven't run across any of those. I am going to call the ag. tire dealer. Thought maybe someone on here would have suggestions.

The rake really needs a ground drive tire. I believe the rim widths are 4", so car tires are a bit wide, but so what? I used a VW Beetle (old Style) tire on my baler for a while until it blew up, but that is a tire that would work on a narrow rim. Both tires need to be the same diameter/radius. Otherwise, one will slip because its a solid axle. If one slips, the rake will drag a bit. I suspect a CUT dealer would have some worn take-offs that would work on your rake. I also have a NH 56 rake. TSC still sells teeth for it for $1.39. They have the tires, too.

I'd get used car tires from an auto salvage yard, Snow tires would provide better traction.
