Howdy All,
Just picked up a new Mahindra 3540 this weekend with the 65B backhoe (18" bucket), FEL, forks, and 6' box scraper.
First off, I love the tractor and I think my wife will end up with more hours on it than I will. :duh:

Question for the wizened guru's of this forum (be gentle as it is my first post) :newhere:
I have some ground I need to trench, about 700 feet long, and about 18" down I hit a shale/caliche type rock (its white). The bucket I have has the pengo XH-660 teeth on it that have the two bolt holes that attach to the cutting face of the bucket. I "think" I would like to replace those teeth with some type of tiger tooth, but am having problems locating anything that will bolt on. Anyone have any thoughts on a solution? I have looked at replacement buckets but they also come standard with the "normal bladed tooth"

The current bucket will scratch and remove the rock, but it takes a few passes to get a bite on the rock to pull it up. Need something with more of point so the force of the backhoe will do more damage to that rock on each scrape.
Thanks all, have been a lurker on this forum for about a year learning.
Regards,
NS
