I am looking for any advice on the replacement of a lift cylinder on a Nortrac 204C tractor w/loader. If anyone has done this before I would appreciate any advice they can provide. Also I believe there maybe more of a problem with the hydraulics than just the bad cylinder. When attempting to raise the bucket the system appears to strain and it barely acts like it wants to lift. Also I wish advice on where to find plugs or caps to prevent moisture from entering the system while replacing the bad cylinder.

What loader does it have? My guess is you have a stuck Pressure relief valve and not a bad cylinder. This is a common issue, especially with the Jinma Loader.

Does your steering and 3 point work ok? You should be able to steer without the tractor moving and lift a heavy 800# Bush Hog with the 3 point.

Yea, he needs to come back and give more info. Even if it was a Chinese loader Tommy has the seal kits for like $25 last time I checked.
