replacing brakes on a 1943 m farmall

i have to replace the brakes on my tractor. i first tryed to adjust them. i screwed in the bottom set screw first down tight and then back it out a half turn. that worked for the rh brake. is there a set screw on the bottom for the left hand brake. their is a hole their but no set screw. also my book shows 2 ea brake compressor springs for adjustment but i only see the one??. is their a web site that will give you step by step instructions for removing/replacing. sure could use some help guys. thanks

stupid me i found the lh brake compression spring, where else but on the lh side. adjusted it and helped some but think the bands are wore out

The H and M brakes are simple to change. Just take the covers and fulcrum levers off and the bands slip off the drum. Used to be you could by new lining material & rivets and reline them yourself
