Ive read some posts lately concerning leaking hydraulic hoses (Power Steering, Loader) on the BX series. For those of you that had to replace them .....was it that difficult to do so?? What advise can you give us to make the job easier?? Same goes for the mower deck belt. Just preparing for a worst case senario. Thanks

Has anyone had to replace the MMM belt on a 60" deck yet, if so, at how many hours? I have 4 years of use and about 350 hours on the same belt, is a new belt in my future soon? I do remove the belt in the fall as per the book.

BX 22 from spring 2001 over 600 hours. I replaced a hose on the FEL and a steering hose. It was basicly unscrew hoses ends take to hydraulic shop, get new hose and screw them back on. The steering hose at the wheel cylinder was difficult to get to but little by little it turned off and then back on. Pretty simple task. I believe the manual says to begin inspecting hoses for wear and replacement after 200 hours.

Does anyone have suggestions on bleeding air from the lines once the power steering lines have been replaced. I am struggling with getting the air out.

Thanks for any insight.

Okay, here is my issue. I changed the hoses for the powersteering. Now, my tractor will not move when I put it in gear. Is it because the hydralic fluid is that low now? I did refill fluid but do I need to add more. The hydralic stick is registering full. Also, when I pull the stick, fluid does bubble out of the hole. SHould I let the tractor idle and let the fluid bubble hoping it is pushing air out of the lines? There just seems to be very little hydralic pressure now. I hope I did not do something to the pump. Not sure how that woudl have happened just changing two lines.

Thanks for any help. I am stuck.

I replaced the power steering hoses after 4 years (about 750 hours) use. I had my friend (factory Nissan mechanic) help me. With his help, it took about an hour. The MMM belt was changed after 5 years. That took me about 30 minutes.

OK if you really did get that much air in the system it should clear by cycling the hydraulics (trans/fel/tph/steering). Bump the rpms off idle, play with all the levers and check the level. I've never had a hydraulic system not self prime/bleed.

I found the source of my issue. The hydraulics shop put a bad fitting on the hose returning to the transmission.. This was causing no hydraulic fluid to return from the steering column. What a pain figuring that out. I have replaced this hose but now I have a squealing noise after driving the tractor for about 5 minutes. Any suggestions as to what could be causing the noise?

This 2 hour fix is turning into a nightmare. The worst part is the local dealer referred me to the hydraulic shop instead of just ordering new hoses from Kubota.

Lrunge is correct. Evidently Kubota designed the PS hoses, radiator hose, intake air line and fuel line to last for two years. The BX2200 manual specifies that they all should be replaced every two years.
