So far the tooth is holding.
I have another question. Can I weld some more hard facing over existing hard facing to build it up some more? any special prep other than preheating?

Profax blow arcs are pretty cheap. 1/8 or 5/32 carbons aren't that hard on your welder.

No need for preheat on hard facing.

If the old hard facing has worn away, weld new right on top of the old. Most hard facing has a two pass or three pass limit. It really depends on the base metal. Mild steel? One pass. Factory bucket or T1 cutting edge? Two maybe three. Hard facing mfg will spell that out. Some need build up rod or softer hard facing underneath.
