200 hours on my Kioti CK30 and the fanbelt is pretty loose and at high RPM's it sqeaks, chirps and whistles like a dozen birds in distress. I've already tried tightening by moving alternator to pick up the slack.

I figure I should be able to do this myself without calling dealer 40 miles away. Anyone have any experience with this repair?

You could try a little "belt dressing".
Should be available at any auto parts store.
If the belt is already badly glazed, you may be better off just replacing it.

Have been doing that for a couple of months. It works for a while, then chirp chirp. I think it's time for a new belt. I want to do it right.

I've tightened mine in the past, but it should be pretty easy to get to...as belts go, anyway. Just pull it off and head down to NAPA for a replacement.

One thing I didn't realize is how much those things stretch over time. You may want to get one slightly smaller than what you have, just to take up the slack from it stretching and to put your alternator closer to where it was.

My 2004 model year CK30hst belt was done around 500 hours. Not that hard to change but had a few scuffed knuckles. Alternator pushed all the way in, removed belt from alt., crank, and water pump bringing it forward. I worked the belt off a little at a time getting it in front of the fan but behind the radiator. I picked the left side to work from which was easier for me and had the biggest gap of a fan blade to fan shroud. Once in front of the fan, it came out through a separation in two adjacent blades. Then the reverse to get the new one on.

If you don't go with a Kioti oem belt, just know that this one is a metric belt with dimensions and angle. I think some member here found a replacement for his tractor and it fit a Toyota or some other similar vehicle foreign vehicle. I can't find the post to know what he used.

640 hours and my belt is still OK. They are easy to replace. My alternator got soaked in oil when the oil cooler split and I replaced that with one off a car. The regulator was ruined and they can't be replaced easily and very expensive.
I just used my old belt with the new alternator.
I am surprised your belt is slipping as there is very little load on them.
