Has anyone replaced the electric shut down solenoid on a 2005-2008 CK25 with a manual shutdown cable? I am in the process of replacing the control shafts with broken teeth in the fuel injection pump. From what I have read the issue is poor metalergy and possibly the hard hits from the electric solenoid. Or a combination of both. If the problem partially due to the hard impacts from the solenoid, it seems to make sense to eliminate it.
