I have a Ford 2120 with 18.4 x 16.1 R3 turf tires that are well worn and one is leaking. From the research I have done it seems it will cost a fortune and be very difficult to find the proper size rims to change this to the factory size R1.
Searching around on the internet I have found "American Farmer" R1 tires in the 18.4 x 16.1 size. Has anyone tried directly replacing turf tires with same size AG? Do I risk doing any damage to the tractor using these wider more aggressive tires?
It is 4x4 so I realize I need to make sure the front to rear tire ratio stays inline.
I am trying to keep this on a budget.
My other thought was to put a tube in the tire that is leaking and get some chains. My property is pretty hilly and we are working on clearing some land.
