Repower Woods Zero turn mower

Anyone replaced the original 14hp Briggs&Straton motor with an 18hp motor. What modifications need to be done. PS: 14hp motor no longer available.

I've the 14.5 B&S on a Dixon 30" mower and when it gives up, it's getting replaced with Kawasaki engine. I can't keep the valves adjusted constantly to keep the compression release working on the engine (so, it doesn't crank fast). I've a Kawasaki on a John Deere push mower and it just keep going and going. bjr
