Required Horsepower per feet for cultivators

I am trying to understand whether a particular tractor is compatible with 2230LL cultivator by John Deere. What does Require HP/FT mean in case of cultivators, how do you measure it?

8 to 12 PTO hp per ft. So for ease of math let's say 10hp per ft of PTO hp. So, a 5ft cultivator wants 50 PTO hp. Whatever the cultivator is must be a monster if it can do the the job at 6 to 10 mph.

We used to pull 18 foot fully mounted with 85 HP tractor but only traveled around 5 MPH.

Neighbors pulled 21 foot with 110 HP at around 5 MPH

As speed increases so does power required.
