resale of implements

When I order my 425 I am thinking of buying a few attachments that I will have use for only for a time until I get the retirement home site where we want it. Has anyone had experience with resale of items no longer needed such as trencher, cement mixer and post hole digger which I sure will use initially but not later.
Which of the wheel trencher or 3ft trencher is more desirable for water or irrigation lines that need not be more than several inches deep - no frost to worry about in CA. Electric needs to be 18" so would probably require the trencher if I decide to do 120 volt landscape lighting.

When, I get a capability I hate to get rid of it. Many times in my life I have bought tools that "I would only use once". Most of them paid for themselves in one use. Mostly I have used them again later.

Here's a thought for you...even though the Power-tracs and attachments aren't a tremendously popular brand, the attachments use about the same hydraulic pressure and flow (3000 PSI and 8 gpm) as attachments for many of the stand-on mini-skid steers or compact utility loaders, such as the Toro Dingo, Ramrod, Kanga, Thomas G25's, etc. The mounting plate is different, but I'll sure bet you could sell those PT attachments easily to landscapers who own these types of machines. Even more so if you find a way to adapt the plate to the standard mini-skid steer attachment mechanism.

I use the trencher for water lines (underground sprinkler) and also buried the main powerline to the new garage (125 serv). I use the potato digger for shallow digging of lines. I also use the trencher to dig a long trench and then plant the hedge plants. What a time and back saver to have the line all dug at the same time.
