Residents spot a bear at a busy shopping center in LeFlore County
Don't know if someone already posted this on here somewhere. But anyway here it goes.
Residents in Leflore county Spotted a bear roaming town.
My dad heard about this on tv and had me look it up on the internet so I could see it.
I wish I would have been there.
Here's the article from that page that I linked above. There's even a video.

POCOLA, Okla. - An unexpected visitor to LeFlore County made an appearance Monday.
Pocola residents spotted a young black bear outside of several town businesses early Monday morning.
"I'm up by the Dollar General store and I look down here and the bear's right here and I said 'Oh!' and I said, 'Gosh, that's a bear," said Bobby Goodwin.
Goodwin says the bear has become a local celebrity.
Resident Shawn Richison caught the bear on camera as he made his way from the town Sonic over to Pocola's largest shopping center.
"I thought it was a dog and then I thought, no that's a bear so I was getting my phone out to take pictures," said Richison.
Richison captured the bear standing up looking at his own reflection before running across another four lane highway and made it out of town unharmed.
"I said 'Oh! It's not going to be good,' because I thought the bear might get hit by the traffic and everything," said Goodwin.
According to officials with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, there's a large black bear population in southeast Oklahoma.
They believe the young bear was searching for food.
"Mom might have kicked him out if it's a male or a female, they're just looking for a home area," said Colin Berg, an education section supervisor with the department.
If the bear didn't find anything to eat, he probably won't come back, but Goodwin doesn't think that was the case.
"I think he probably had him a good a snack over here that morning over at the Sonic," said Goodwin.
He and others around Pocola are planning on the bear's return.
"We've joked about putting up a bear crossing sign," said Richison.
"I can almost guarantee he will be back, my kind of bear, you might say," said Goodwin.
Berg says LeFlore County does have a bear-hunting season, but is not currently in session.
