:welcome: to TBN

Any explanation of how and/or why it broke?

No, I am not sure why it broke. One of the parallel arms is snapped. I checked and I just need the seat base, but apparently they have changed the seat base mechanical bits, because they are requiring buying the entire assembly, sprints and all. At approx 400 bucks I am wondering if I can go to a better suspension (I am 215 which is at the top end of the weight rating for the seat.) I have the bigger springs, but more travel and air ride sound good, and my experience with bigger tractors is air ride is nice. My first option is to weld it back together, but ...

The seat and the gentle start of the PTO were the only bright spots in the lemony 1025R that I had. I'd just replace in kind.

Do you have a flat platform for an air ride seat to mount? Bolt pattern would be 10.25" side to side at the base for a standard base, that is if you bought a Grammer base.

I would imagine that you would need everything, base and the seat which will be over $1k.

Attached is a Grammer spec sheet for the MSG95. They do make a narrow and wide base versions as well. View attachment 632594

thanks gents. I got the "suspension" off and ended up cutting one of the parallel arms to get enough freedom to work the frozen joints (all 8 bushings) loose. Neighbor is pro welder and plans to TIG it back together this week. So I have time to do the conversion right... Hard to believe that as much as I use that thing the seat suspension basically tried to weld itself together. Deere has a new part number preventing buying just the suspension, you even have to buy the seat belt mount bar. 611 hrs in 4 years- it doesn't sit long. New ones (tractors or seats) are not really any different than my 2015?

I have been thinking of a better seat for my 4110. I know Kenny in the past purchased a replacement seat but I believe mounting problems prevented installation. I have space on the sides but height of the seat from the base may become a problem. I am still looking but haven't come up with the best manufactured system. I'm aware they may be pricey but divided by the hours of use it will be worth the value.
