I recently purchased a YM2000d with a broken hyd pump. I went to a well known company and asked for a used pump off of a "YM2000d". what I recieved looked like a great, working pump. upon install, I blew shaft seal after shaft seal. after banging my head against a wall for a week I took the tractor to a local HYD expert. he did the expected inspection, and replacement of some older lines, and after he blew three shaft seals, it was realized that the pump had a flow arrow that was oppisite of the system, and the previous pump. The mechanic repaired the old pump installed a new seal and the tractor functions perfectly. has about 5 hours on it at this point.
if one was to find any "accepted" schematic for a 2000d hydraulic system it shows a conflicting flow from the pump I recieved, but is a perfect match to the tractor I own, and the pump that was taken off originally.
anyone know why there would be a pump that would fit on a 2000d that would be different from any standard 2000d tractor? did I not make myself clear enough by asking for a "used pump for a YM2000d"? I paid the HYD guy 350.00 dollars (which is fine) but now Im out 200.00 dollars for the pump that wont even fit on a standard YM2000d.
Do I approach the company, or did I make a mistake?
thanks
