I own a brand new B26 and I am having problems with the reverse pedal. When driving in reverse on flat ground and releasing the pedal, the machine doesn't stop. It slows down, but does not comletely stop. The reverse pedal is not fully retracting back to, I guess you would say, "neutral position". I brought it to the dealer and after fully inspecting it, his answer was, "its a very heavy machine and they all do it". If that were true then why did he check it out in the first place? And why does it only do it in reverse? Its a very small dealer with only one mechanic, whose abilities are very much in question.

Anyone out there with a B26 or any experience with this problem?

Does this on my BX24 too. If I tap the forward pedal it recenters and all is fine. Ive adjusted and greesed and what not but it still does it.

I'd be lubricating it and if it is a sticky problem it should go away. Many times after assembly you might even get paint loosening up and cusing a sticking or sluggishness with the petals.

Neither my B21 which I had for 6 years and 1800 hours or my 2 year old B26 with about 250 hours has ever stuck in gear.

The one thing I have noticed with the B26 is that I think the directional pedal is a little stiffer. If I pushed into a pile with my B21 and stalled it I could hit the key right away and it would start. On the B26 if I was moving forward when I stall it if I hit the key right away it won't start. It took my a while to figure out what safety switch was preventing me from starting the machine after a stall but eventually the light bulb went on and no I push the directional pedal back to neutral before turning the key.

I am not familiar with the B26, but with the B2x20 series there is a grease fitting under the floor board where the HST pedal pivots. Mine was sticking, but it was after about 100 hours of operation and I mentioned it to the dealer and he showed me that fitting. Since I have started greasing that fitting, no problem.

Thanks I will check that right now. Can't imagine it would be something as simple as that and the dealer didn't pick up on it, but I can hope. Thanks again

I have a brand new BX25 and it does the same thing you mention on flat pavement. I only have a few hours on my machine so I didn't really think anything of it yet. If it continues, I'll be asking my dealer as well.

Good luck,

Tom

My BX24 has a very sluggish return to the F/R pedal..if I grease the linkage via the zerk under the floormat it helps..but only for a short while. Someday when I have nothing to do I may dig into it and try to see just what the problem is.
