depending on your rims and then your type of tire turf it should not hurt but ag or ind they wont clean if they are running backwards

Old Ford 8-N's had a system where you could reverse rear rims and rim centers to come up with IIRC 8 different positions.

Alot of rims are like that IF they are rims for ag tires. If I reverse my JD R4 rims I gain about 3/4 inch. Just enough to put my mind at rest when running chains...

My Jinma's tires are able to be set to 4 different widths and then you can reverse the tires by doing what you are saying to give you 4 more options, just like the Ford's the other guy described. My fronts are only able to be switched from side to side giving it a wide or narrow stance.

I set my tires out on my Kubota L4200, I had to unbolt the dish and moved the tires to the outside, it is real wide now, my rear tire width is around 82"'s

My tires were all the way out when I bought my JD 5203 and several people are telling me I need to turn them in. I am confused on matter and wonder what the difference is. My implements are disc harrow, bush hog, box blade, landscape rate and middle buster. Is there any advanatage out or in for these implements?

It's more stable all the way out.

But it's a pain if your wheel track is wider than the width of the implement.
