I've got a Cub 7264.
Typically, can the rear wheels be reversed to gain more clearance ? (any tractor)
There appears to be a greater off-set (2") if I turn them. I was thinking of more stability and "chains".
I can change sides to keep the direction correct on the tires.
The only thing that looks like a problem is , there a raised reinforced "ring" around the bolt hole made into the rim.
This is probably going to keep the rim from seating tight to the axel "face" plate...
'May have just answered my own question .
What do ya think ?

I was just about to say "go for it" when you mentioned that "ring". If it will keep the rim bolting surface from lying flat against the hub I doubt that the bolts/nuts would stay tight. You may truly have answered your own question.

I'm not familiar with the cub line..
Ok.. so it looks like the centers can't be reversed.. but what about the rims themselves.. do they have any adjustment? Lots of tractors have adjustable outer rims, that are independent of the whell center adjustment ( if any ).
Do they have loops or angled rails that the center mounts to.. if so it is a power adjust rim..
Post a pic if your not sure...or heck.. this is a tractor sub.. post one ANYWAY.

I have a Cub 7260 and I bought it with reversable wheels. After about two months of owning it, I promptly widened both the front and rear to their fullest extent. I asked Cub cadet about doing the front wheels and they gave me the thumbs up. If you are still in doubt, go to their web page and e-mail them. Good luck! Congrats on your yellow purchase. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine!

Typically what you want to do is how it is done. But it depends on the tractor manufaturer. Check your manual. Many 4wd machines allow this on the rear axle, but not the front. If your holes won't seat up right,t hen probably not. Many offer a dish that can be turned in or out on the wheel center, & 2 different mounting locations where the rim/dish bolt together for multiple rear wheel width settings by combining these 2 bolt patterns. You may only have one, or none, on your model.
