Clearing trees is a frequent job. Homemade attachment makes carrying chain and chainsaw convenient and safe. The 5”x5” steel tubing is a nice size for a couple of chains. The threaded bar clamp is not necessary. The rubber appliance foot supports the saw body works the best to stop vibration. Like carrying weight as low as possible. Like utilizing the factory plastic bar guard. The saw pockets could be smaller metal straps. It all could be made with a grinder, drill and bolted together. Easy to weld too.

That all looks very good to me. Lots of little details you put into it that make it nicer to use.

Yes, spring for antivibe.
Steel drops for tubing cost about $15 at scrapyard. Stainless steel bolt, rod, spring and nut are cheap too, >$2. Easier, safer to weld with steel mig wire than anything plated with zinc or cadmium. Still need good ventilation with any welding.

Hard to believe modern tractors don’t come with toolboxes or better ways to carry tools. Like overalls without pockets.
