I just spent some time in Prague and took picture of this rifle in an exhibit:

They have some neat examples of those in the museum in Cody, WY.

Looks like a match lock revovling cylinder rifle. Ignition was slow; pull the trigger and hold still, because it took a second for ignition to occur. They were messy, because you had to grease the top of the cylinder. Other wise, a spark could jump from chamber to chamber, setting them all off

Flintlock is the same. Took great discipline. Took a second for the flint to spark, ignite the powder in the pan, and flash through to the chamber.

Cool stuff though!
