RFM turned out to be a rotary cutter....

So I went to look at the 60" RFM I posted on the other day and it turns out to be a rotary cutter. Looks to be a Tebben TC96-400 which from searching here and on the internet looks to be a 48" cutter. (I did not have a tape measure with me). I have a b7100 gear so I believe that would be a good match.

Anyone have an idea of what this thing weighs?

The mowing to be done is mostly a bit of field, along ditches and a road, all flat. All mowed with my riding lawn mower today which takes forever if I let it get tall as I have to take small bites hence looking for a mower for the tractor.

So what is a good price for this brand? Definitely used but no obvious repairs. I did not check the gear box. Blades and underneath looked OK, no chains on the back. What has me wondering is there is a old somewhat faded sticker on it that says $100 but he says he got it with the place along with a couple tractors. He was originally asking $400.

I believe the 48" rotary cutter is a good match for your B7100. I ran a similarly sized Tebben on my old Ford 1100 (13/11+ HP) without problems. The TC96-400 is one of Tebben's economy cutters. According to my Operator's Manual the TC94-400 (48") Medium Duty Cutter weighs in at 430 pounds. I paid ~$1400.00 with tax for my cutter with slip clutch and laminated rear wheel. I believe that I paid too much, but it was the cheapest priced RC for its size I could find both with same brand, Woods, and Land Pride dealers. I found my old Operator's Manual.
