RFM\'s - operating opinions / brand - for CK30?

Any opinions on RFM's for the CK30? I'm thinking about adding a RFM next year. I suppose a 6' would work well on this model. Right now I use a 60" flail to keep a few acres trimmed down. The cut is OK, but not like the cut I used to get with a deck and blades when I used a riding mower. I'm not looking for a perfect cut, just something better than the flail. The extra foot of width would be nice also. How is the Kioti brand working out? Any opinions on any model / side discharge or rear discharge would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do not have the Kioti model, but have seen them and I think they look pretty good. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I didn't get out the tape measure and measure the metal thickness, but they looked well built to me. To me they looked like my Landpride, but only orange. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I would go rear discharge. It dispearses (sp) the grass nicely.

You should not have any problem mowing with a 6' finish mower. The only thing I might question is: How heavy your front end is? I wouldn't want you to pick the mower up only to have your front end come up. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I've been considering which mower to get in the near future as well. After looking at the Kioti site, I belive the 72" weighs 495 lbs., about the same as a box blade. The CK30 should be able to handle it easily. I've been looking at this one too but debating if my CK25 has enough power to spin it. It's right at the bottom of the power requirement. I could go with the 60" but it's not wide enough to cover my tracks. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I thought the Kioti mowers were made by Sicma (not sure if I spelled that right) but I have heard others say they are made by First Choice. Supposed to be of excellent quality either way.

Oh yeah, and I forgot the most important thing of all if you buy a Kioti mower.
The paint matches! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Anybody know what the six foot RFM might cost? (KIOTI brand)

I have a 60" Kioti rear discharge that I bought for about $1000 with my tractor about 3 years ago. It works great and seems to be very well constructed.... and yes, the paint matches.

I've a rear-discharge Befco RFM that I purchased new from the Kioiti dealer with the tractor. It does a great job and the paint matches.

That Befco looks pretty nice. I like that fact that they offer an available mulching kit.

I mow 3 acres with my 60" rear discharge Kioti mower on a CK20 and it has been great so far. Your CK30 should be well suited for a 72".

I don't have anything to compare it to since it is the only RFM that I have ever owned, but it has functioned flawlessly for two mowing seasons.

Re: RFM\'s - operating opinions / brand - for CK30?

I see no reason that the 6' RFM from Kioti, which is Italian made, shouldn't work well on either the CK25 or the CK30. Rear discharge is nice as one can get up close to walls and fences without throwing everything into it. Either one should be good though.

The cut you'll get will be far superior to the flail you're using now.
I've seen this mower in action, and it does a very nice job.
