At first I thought you may be on to something... After thinking about it a couple of days, I now think it may not be the way to go for two reasons
1 - I have a Line-X (similar to Rhino) spray in bed liner in my truck and absolutely love it. However it is designed with a non slip surface. I think you might have a problem with clippings sticking to it.
2 - My Line-X liner varies from 1/8" to 1/4" thick. This might cause a clearance problem between the end of the blades and the side of your mower deck.
