Rotary Cutter Rhino SR120 10' rotary cutter gearbox

Hello all, first post here after lurking for years.

I have a Rhino SR120 10' rotary cutter, broke the vertical shaft in the outboard gearbox on the "passenger's" side.

I was wondering if anyone here had a shaft or gearbox for sale, or if you knew where I might find one? I think they used this same gearbox on several implements for many years.

Or has anyone successfully repaired a shaft like this? It is at least 2" in diameter, that is a lot to weld up and machine, not sure if that is possible.

Buy the new shaft and check your slip clutches, you might need to put some money into them unless you know why that shaft broke.

Thanks for the reply, art, and that's a good point about the slip clutches. I didn't even know that the shaft had broken until I made another round and saw the disc and blade assembly leaning against a tree! When I inspected the break it kind of appeared that it had been cracked for a while before it broke, so I really don't know when the main damage occurred.

I will inspect the clutches and look into just replacing the shaft and resealing the existing gearbox if I can't come up with a used gearbox.
