Rhino TW72 twister

Hey guys fairly new here, although have farmed my whole life. I was given a rhino tw72 guy said he crossed a ditch with it shutoff and bent the pto shaft waited a while to fix it and deck rusted out on him so he bought a new one. I have no books on it have put on a new shaft and slip clutch, and it mows nicely but was wanting to change the gear oil as it has set for a few years I am afraid, before I take the time to redue the deck on it. It has a fill plug and check plug but no drain plug.

Does anyone have one that could help me out? How do I change the gear oil?

Most are considered non-serviceable. They give you a method of topping off in case it starts to leak, but they expect you to run it till it drops and purchase brand new. You can either try a small hand pump with a hose in the fill port to suck it out, or you can remove the gearbox so it is more manageable to turn upside down to drain. If you are planning on redoing the deck, removing it is advised so you can inspect the mounting point of the gearbox. No sense in cleaning up the deck and painting it up pretty if the bolt holes holding the gearbox are rotting out.

Thanks sysop. Got to looking and gear box is loose also deck needs more than paint new sheet of 10 gauge is going on but I want to know everything else is good before I cut it up. The bolts to gear box are loose some will tighten and others won't.

Would you have any suggestions on taking off stump jumper on this model?
