Ride With me: Lane Shark LS-2

I just got a brand new Lane Shark LS2 and did a video ride along on my first day in the field. I got better at it the longer I used it. I know there isn't a lot of videos on it so thought others might like it if they are considering a Lane Shark. I really like it and it does what I need it to do. Changing positions is a 2 person job at least for now. We will have to practice to get the speed of repositioning it improved. But even in the main position it is an awesome machine.

Lane Shark is attached to my Kubota L4060 with my beloved Brown 6 foot bush hog as counter weight.

Very nice. When I viewed other Lane Shark videos they made a point of how easy it is to reconfigure. Hope you get that straightened out with them.

There is a video of one of the founders changing positions and he did it with the loader raised up and the mower tilted straight down, seemed like that made the weight very balanced and he could change it's position himself. Is that how you tried to change it?

I would like to think it was covered in the manual or a video that came with it.

I have the same model and after a couple times changing it over between horizontal and vertical it gets a lot easier. Lube it up, that helped it moving a ton and was the key to making it easy to move. I do it by myself. I have only 25 hours on the my MX5400 and LaneShark about 20.

I would like to know what model number is the Eaton hydraulic pump on the lane shark.

That makes it look like keeping your trails open would be pretty easy. For now I'm stuck with doing it with my landscaping-light saber, or at least that is what I call my Stihl Kombi with adjustable hedge trimmer. This is one thing that gets my *** off the tractor for a bit. I'm sure at some point my back and knees will disagree. Keep posting how you like the laneshark and any other uses you found. There is not much data on any of these on here (landshark, limb ninja, TB-1, etc.)

I assume that is running from the PB? Does it have provisions to add PB permanently to the loader, do you use 3rd function somehow or are the hoses routed to the back of the tractor and have to be run everytime it's attached?
