I have been having one problem after the other with my Ford 2600. I posted last summer about problems with it starting then dying. I thought it might be the fuel pump, so I ordered one and it turned out to be the wrong part. I just cleaned out the old one really good and reinstalled it.
It would crank after that and even ran for a couple of days like it should. Then it started to run very weak and would die if I put it in gear. Then I noticed that while running, gasoline was leaking badly out of the round plate on the bottom of the carburetor. That lead me to order a carburetor rebuild kit thinking I could do it myself. Well that was disastrous with me quickly realizing that I was in way over my head. I am not sure it was even the right kit, even though it was sold as a kit for a Holley Carburetor for the 2600 3 cylinder gas engine. I sure ended up with a lot of spare pieces if that was the right kit. There were pieces in the rebuild kit bearing no resemblance to anything I found on the original carburetor.
OK, now here I am wanting to get this thing fixed and have been looking for a replacement carburetor on line. After my experience/failure with getting the right parts (fuel pump, carburetor rebuild kit) on line, I am now scared that I am going to get the wrong carburetor for the 2600.
I found this one on "Yesterdays Tractor.com", but wanted to check with you guys to make sure this was the right one. It appears from this listing that there was only 1 carburetor used on the 2600 throughout its period of manufacture. Is that correct?

I think everyone should be able to sense, that I am not very mechanically inclined. I would appreciate any advise on this.
Thanks
