Kioti Daedong FX751
Just wanting someone to confirm some numbers please.
The somewhat dodgy owner's manual for our new (secondhand) Kioti FX751 gives the rear tire pressure as 1.8 kg/sq cm, which is a long way from any unit I have ever used for pressure. The front is 2.4-2.6 kg/sq cm. These numbers convert to 25.6psi rear and 34-37psi front.
Being used to an older tractor (early 70's International) with pressures like 10-12psi for the rears, the new numbers seem high.
Have I got the conversion correct, and do tires in fact run at this sort of pressure now? (I have seen and driven lots of different tractors in recent times, but have not been responsible for checking pressures!)
Cheers, Mort

It depends on the type of tire, ply rating and tire manufacturers recommendations.

Eg: my jd4200 front tire pressure is @ 50 psi.

I read the max pressure showing on the outside rim of the tire itself. Agreed, rear tires are usually much lower than front.

:welcome:

That's about in line with the numbers for the CK35H, so doesn't sound crazy.

I feel there is a max and min for a particular tire and you should vary your pressures ,within that window, depending on the implement attached to the tractor and work you are performing. This can be pain especially with loaded tires.
Ex. On my CK35, I keep my rears at about 18psi. If I put the backhoe on I bring the pressure up to 30psi. Bush hog and snowblower somewhere in between. Front tires about 25psi. If I put the loader on and plan to do some heavy loader work I bring them up to 40psi so I don't spin a tire off the rim.
These numbers may not be good for all, but based on my property, bouncy field, mud, gravel, snow and grass, they work well for me.

I park mine on level concrete pad and add/reduce pressure until I have an approximately flat contact patch. That's around 16lbs on the rear for me. R4 tires are not filled.

I just go by the pressures in the owners' manual. The flat contact patch makes sense but probably matters less on a soft surface, like dirt. You don't want the pressures to get so low a tire comes off the rim. I learned the hard way that re-seating a tractor tire is not trivial.

I just aired up my tires today: 45 psi up front, 26 psi in back.

I also just checked mine today.
Front tire per tire recommendation was 30 PSI max pressure. I set mine at 27.5PSI
Rear tire per tire recommendation was 20 PSI max pressure. I set mine at 18PSI
I have AG tires.

Same method, same pressures, except my R4's are filled.
