I am looking at getting a RK24 and was wondering what the inside width of the bucket and the thickness of the cutter edge was. I am also looking at a add on for it and need this info to see if it would fit before I buy.

I just took delivery of my RK24 yesterday. I can get you these measurements tonight after I get home from the movies. Probably 11pm or so.

Do you have an RK store near by that you could stop and look at one easily? If the measurements are important in the purchase decision, you may want to make sure that the measures are done in the manner that you'd like them measured. No offense intended for anyone...but having confidence in the measure (as a buying criteria) seems like it would be important in this case.

I'm a draftsman by trade so I'll get you some accurate dims. Don't worry.

I have 2 stores but both are like 3-4 hours away.

Here are the cutting edge and bucket dims you wanted, as measured from my RK24 with 50" bucket.
The first picture is a cross section view of the cutting edge with the leading edge to the right.
The second picture is a top view of the cutting edge and bucket walls. The cutting edge is a little wider than the bucket walls and has small (maybe .125") fillet welds on both sides of each wall.
There are also two fillet welds shown in the cross section view.

Nice drawing! I was a draftsman way back in the day and appreciate attention to detail. I'm sure it will be helpful. Website, shop manuals, owner's manuals, just don't have that kind of information. And you know what? Sometimes you just need to know. :)

That was just a quick 5min AutoCAD sketch, but thanks.

Yeah, my drafting days were pre-AutoCad. T-square, triangle and mechanical pencil.
