needed to drain some water from a road i am working on to get to the back of my property so i decided to use a culvert i had around to help drain the spring.. Its a little over kill but it was what i had. there is a small pond/ lagon just to the left of where i am building the road which i belive is part of the reason for the water..you can literally see it bubbling out of the ground..Anyway a few pics and a video i tryed to take but the road was a bit rough from frost heave so it was hard to hold onto the camera..Nothin fancy here, these roads are a constant work in progress..LOL

It looks good to me.

It looks like your covert and ditch follow the contour line. Does rain or snow melt cause the ditch to overflow and thus divert past the covert?

Still, all in all it looks like nice property.

Looking good. I have to take some pics of the road I've been working on on my property. It floods pretty good and almost all low flats so I really don't have a drainage option. So I'm slowly building the height of the road up. I ought to borrow your playbook and put some culverts in there somewhere.

sfloggie- The water did start rolling over the top this year. Not so much beauce of snow melt this year but cause there was no culvert. The water bubbles out of the ground and there is a pond right beside it.. I build the road without the culvert and it acted as a dam.. water started to spill over the top so i dug it out for the culvert and made it higher.. The water levekl does raise quite abit if we have lots of snow melting.. not too much this year

sublifer-My roads are like that too till the frost gets out.. i have them pretty rutted up now because of driving the new 4x4 tractor on them.. With my old 2wd ford i wouldnt dream of getting on them this time of year... LOL

No frost down here on the gulf coast... Just rain and sun and more rain... haha

I actually haven't been down to the section of road I've been working on in about 3 months. We've had a lot of rain and there was already one section of road that was eroding from water coming over it... Hopefully most of it is still there.

Haahha..yeah it there is frost in the ground there then i am in trouble...:D

I have seen water wipe out logging roads around her in under 15 mins and leave nothing but a crator..There are a few bike trails like that here too that we go around through the creek..

I built a dock in our pond four years ago. I built it just higher than the old dock, where I thought it would always be above water. For the first time ever, it's gone under. That's three times this winter, including last month. The sun came out for a bit yesterday so I went down the hill and felled a tree. I tore up the ground carrying the first of the logs up the hill. Had to use a different route for each log and go around the hill. I need the ground to dry out some. We're used to it being wet here, but this is getting old. There are little ponds back in the woods that we've never seen before.
