Robbing loader hydraulics to run rear attachment

New guy here so go easy.

I've been reading a bunch on here about adding rear hydraulics to my 3010. All I need at this point is to be able to raise my John Deere 4 disc hay mower. It has one hydraulic line to attach so I'm guessing it's just to raise/lower it? It's a taarup type mower. I have the 3 point, but I need to be able to raise the mower to the vertical position. I'm only mowing about 20 acres and don't have the skills, money nor the time to throw a new valve in. Does anyone know if I can rob the hydraulic line from the front loader that tilts the bucket to operate the rear mower? I'd have to get a longer hose made with the proper couplers of course. Thanks for any help!

That should work. One line or too?

I did exactly this....
I took the two hoses from the curl function from the loader and made hoses to go to the log splitter.
Just make sure you get the correct female QC - In my case on the BX2660 the type was "A"

Fortunately, I have a 3rd function set of hydraulic lines on my FEL (Front End Loader) for operating my 4in1 bucket.

I detached them and ran (snaked) them to the rear to operate [up/down] a hay rake. Once haying season is over, I transfer them back to the FEL.

You can use a curl hose to operate the SA cyl.

Cap the hose not used.

The relief will sound off momentarily as you let the cyl retract.

For the price of the long hose and fittings you probably over 1/2 the way of just getting the Kubota rear remote kit. Check around as some dealers have better pricing than others.

I don't know what the remote kit costs, but I used the 1/2 inch X 168" line from TSC - $42 each. plus two fittings @ $11 each. So I have all of $106 tied up in my setup.
Is that over 1/2 the price of the rear remotes?

Look hard on ebay. Tractor supply is one of the best kinda places to but hydraulic hoses Around here but eBay may be half of what u are paying already

Depending on the Dealer, its about 1/3, but actually having a rear remote, especially one with float, can come in handy for a lot of things.
An example - All of my 3pt equipment to date is manual lift and adjust. Now I can rent or buy anything that takes hydraulics, and I am converting my 9' IH 1300 sickle mower to hydraulic lift to save my back.

There are many ways to skin the cat and folks here sure are good at sharing what works for them.
