Hi
Just wondering if anyone has started using the Robotic Lawn Mowers yet? How do they perform and work? I have seen some video's of them cutting and am not sure if I am impressed with the quality of cut, as well as you still need to use the string trimmer from time to time. I guess they are good if you don't have the time to cut grass or just plain not like cutting grass. Hmmm.... I really love cutting grass with my 455 AWS Deere, so I don't think I will be trading it in anytime soon for one of these units.
As far as commerical Grounds maintence Business's, I wonder if this is the start of the end of commerical grass cutting and grounds maintence busness's as when people move to these Robot mowers, there won't be a need any more for Lawn crews, unless the business's change focus to triming up after the robot mowers and Landscaping.
Personally, I think it will be a few years away until everyone( which I doubt everyone) is running these mowers on their properties.
I doubt these mowers( at least not yet) can cut and multch heavy leafs, unlike traditional mowers with baggers.
I guess change can be a good and bad, I will have to think of ways to keep my young lawn care company running so it does not go exstinct when the Robomowers start gaining popularity everywhere. In the meantime, I will continue jumping on the mower to cut grass as I truely enjoy it. I am only 20, so maybe when I am 40 I will be ready for one of these mowers.
Take Care Jason B
