Hi to all,
I've gone up 4' with stones and boulders out of the cherry orchards and a further 4 feet with 10" mean diameter 40' pine logs with the help of my 1955 Farm All 400.
It is now too high for the tractor and I would like some ideas on skyline rigging to get the large tie logs and roof system purlins and ridge pole up. I'm going to assemble the roof system on the plate logs on the ground and then re erect it all on the barn.
I have a couple of large pine trees at either end of the structure and can use these as spar trees for the high line cable.
I'm a one man operation and would like to have a remotely operated hoist that can travel along the line. I have no experience in rigging such as system. Any source for articles or books and suggestions on the subject would be appreciated.
Dave
