I have a Kubota B7510HST but I think a lot of people with HST have the same problem. I love the HST theory but because of of a physical problem, I have a hard time lifting my ankle and rear of my foot up to hit the reverse pedal. I mentioned it to a guy at the local Kubota Dealer and he said that what one of his customers did was use a piece of 2x4 or metal or something to bridge the two pedals. Since the pedal control really is 1 rocker under the foorboard it makes sense that connecting them on top would work too. Has anyone done this? Any ideas?

Harris.

It sounds like it should work, my MF GC2310 has a single pedal that you rock or push forward for forward and rock or push down back of pedal for reverse. It works ok, but can be awkward to push down back of pedal when backing up hill on my drive. Good Luck plowking

If I were doing it, and I've thought about it since my wife has limited range of motion in her right leg, I'd do one of two things:

Simple: I'd build a metal "L" type lever that could be secured (bolted) to the HST pedal. It would stick up like a gear shift, and be made out of fairly heavy stuff, so it wouldn't flex. Moving the lever would be similar to moving the HST.

More Complex and Cleaner: I'd leave the HST pedal alone, and figure out how to mount the throttle control from a powerboat on the right hand fender. (I know, I know, then it's in conflict with the FEL control.)

I think if you looked, you could find a custom cable that would be short enough to use. Potentially, you could find one that had a friction adjustment, so it would be like a suicide cruise control.

WARNING: This might not be the safest thing to do your tractor, and it would void all your tractor safety stuff, so please try this at your own risk.

trade your orange for blue :D

the TC comes that way standard :)

perhaps you could start with as stock NH foot peddle and make a bracket to adapt it to the bota? only problem is the pivit location isnt in the most ideal location.

Just another possibility and not sure it would help with your mobility, but you could attach a piece of thin flat steel over the pedal so that you could pull up on the forward pedal with your toe to effectively push the reverse pedal down. I suppose you could even do it with some nylon strap or something, but a metal stirrup seems more practical.

All these ideas are great. I haven't tried pulling up on the forward pedal. (picture of me here hitting my head with my palm.) It's so simple if the pressure needed to lift the pedal with a toe isn't too great. I'll try it out when it stops raining. Thanks for the ideas. If there's more, keep them coming.
