I have stored rod for many years with no effect. Wrap WELL in usable bundles in Saran wrap [clear cling type wrap] and store in an interior closet in the house...away from any source of moisture. Wrap a little black tape on the ends to protect the corners and help keep it together. Trick is to keep it at as stable a temp as possible. The part I fell down on was, to insert some information in the bundles as to what brand of rod it was.... So I don't have to experiment again, and again, and again, and .......

I read somewhere that the 6011 and 6013 would burn well with up to 80% humidity. I do believe they burn better in my moist shop than 7018s do. Maybe someone can confirm or deny that. If they do burn well with that much humidity, large quantities of these rod might still make sense for they occasional burner.
