Well done with getting her going!!! But please never under estimate the power of a starter motor, they will bend a rod if the piston hydraulics on a diesel engine. You will most likely get away with a petrol engine as the compressions are much lower but as stated probably wont start until the oil is dispersed. So if it's been on it's side or lid, it pays to rermove the injectors and crank her over.

Glad neither you or the tractor was hurt!!!! ROPS can be a pain when it comes to storage height, but they save livesw!!!

Just another two cents worth if it's worth that much, but isn't (from what I remember) there a decompression lever on the back side of the engine on the CK20. I'm sure there was on my 2004 CK20. There's no rod or nothing attached to it, but if this were to be held over while cranking, wouldn't it allow any excess oil and fuel to be vented out the exhaust? Maybe some diesel guru's could chime in here and explain this better.

Yes, there is a compression release lever on the CK20's on the back of the head, right side.

To answer the SOP question... if rolled over or somehow suspected of ingesting oil, water, fuel, etc. Start by manually turning engine over with a tool on the crank. If the engine can be turned over twice then go for the start up. Same think you would do when first assembling an engine and checking for valve interference.
