We till up probably 20 acres total.  This is an ex-pasture, and the farmer disked it all after we bought it, so it was plenty bumpy at first.  We've only had the place for 2 years, and it's smoothing out  okay now. 
The spike harrow I have, was assembled out of three (real old) horse drawn sections abandoned here.  I've got a bunch of old iron/implements here, that survived the WWII scrap drives.  They were left here and a 20" maple tree grew up through one section.  I had to cut it apart with a cutoff tool, and left quite a bit of it in the tree...  I'm pretty proud of the job i did to cut the savable parts and make two of them usable.  It actually gets towed behind my Polaris Ranger.  Yes, the drier (and the faster we go) the better.
I also have a 3 pt tiller. I was just exploring other options.
