I have some 41% Roundup concentrate left from the farm (sold). The dilution tables are missing. I need it for killing my lawn before renovation....yes, it's getting late but OK here in Southside VA. Does anyone know the dosage? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks,
Dave

I always mix 4-6oz/gallon.

I have excellent results with grass/weeds using 2.5 oz per gallon.

2% is the standard solution that works on nearly everything.

This is roughly 2.5 ozs. per gallon.

Just remember that the "Original" Roundup (the 41% stuff), doesn't have the immediate killing "look" that the newer varieties have. It will take a couple of weeks for you to see the visible effects, but the grass will be dead!

You can go to www.monsanto.com, and download the MSDS broucheres which give you all of the dilution and application rates. Just look for Origional Roundup in the agricultural section.

Thanks gentlemen,

Looks like 2.5 oz is OK. Think I'll go with 3 oz to be sure. Meanwhile, I will check the web link to Monsanto as well. Yes, I'd heard that the good old 41% was not as fast, but the price is right! I have a little under a gallon left.

Thanks again,

Dave in VA

Generally, it will start to yellow in 5-7 days, and then another 5-7 days until it's totally brown. If you haven't done so, mark your sprayer "ROUND-UP" and don't use it for anything else. You may rinse it out and put some liquid Sevin or something in it to spray some trees, and the next thing you'll know -- a week later your trees will start dying.

I use 2.5 oz per gallon of water as reccomened by the manufacuter. Im sure you know how to use a sprayer from your farm experiences. But I use Roundup and everything else in the same sprayer but i make sure to rinse it out with a tank cleaner twice to make sure so i dont kill anything. Stuff like 2-4d I let it sit in the tank overnight. Its cheaper than having multiple sprayers laying around.
