I posted this over the Kubota forum, but it actually applies to any small tractor.
The B7610 is about 1300# w/o FEL, and mine, as equipped with FEL and loaded turfs is about 2000#. That, of course, would drop to 1600# + the front plow if I went with a tractor-mounted plow (which would require removing the FEL).
I have a B2710 with a 60" hydraulic blade on the front (frame mounted so I have the loader removed also). My rig weighs in at about 1750 lbs. (w/o loader) and I have filled rear tires (not sure of the weight added) and a carryall box with concrete blocks that adds about a another 500 lbs.
We just had an 18" storm in my area and I did experience a bit of lateral movement trying to push that depth with the blade angled. No problems with a straight blade, though. A previous 9" storm gave me no problems at all. With that information I am trying to find a longer Kubota blade or fashion some plow wings for my 60"er, as most of our storms are closer to 4 to 8". Plow wings would add about 18" of length and are removable - and need less of a space to store them than another blade would.
So...given your slightly smaller overall weight you may want to use a 60" blade rather than the 72", but you may also find a way to play with your weight bias to get the 72" blade to work just fine. Actually, I may do some experimenting next time around with the weight in my carryall, because when it's loaded with wood I am very light in the front end...that may be why my front end was prone to sliding with the bigger snow storm.
I used to use a rear landscape blade and the loader to deal with snow, but the front blade is much more convenient (easier and faster). Hope this helps.
