Excellent job grunt and thanks for the pics. I've always wanted to watch a sawing operation like that first hand but it's looking like the closest I'll ever get is my 9" delta shop band saw with a 3/8 blade.:D

Nice looking building and setup, kimda unusual design. Electric hoist and beam are big pluses. What brand/model saw are you using? Is the bed height adjustable ?

Well then, you did a great job building the table. So the head travel (feed) is manual? The table is manual?

We got a Timberking 1600 and adjusting the log to start the square cuts is kind of a bear. Seems like it would be so much easier to stand behind the head and push a button....I ordered some 12vdc scissors jacks to see if that will help.

Everything that's yellow I built(from pics,No plans)It has a power feed I built using a 1/2" drill ,an a sears transmission. Using a trigger off a saws all gives me a slow start, then full speed (any of the 3 gears in trans.)All an all its really easy to use.I have a really bad back so I try to make it easy on my self or it would be a no go.

Sorry, I misunderstood at first. All I can say is, WOW and Kudos. You must have an awful lot of work ahead of you, because you spent the time and effort to get to this point.

Are you guys heli-logging? That's why you need a windsock? :D
