Roof Mounted Solar Panels - Lightening Protection

Of solar panel installs I've seen driving around (haven't gotten up really close to any), I can see what appears to be a not so heavy duty feed cable going down into the house, but I don't see any sort of heavy cable that might be used for a lightening ground. The lightening rods on my barns have a heavy copper braided cables (about 5/8" dia) at each end of the barn coming down to the rods in the ground. I've Googled solar panels and lightening protection, but most of what I find is surge protection for the control electronics and distribution in the house and little to no mention of grounding the panels or their mounting frames, so a lightening strike might be diverted to ground rather than into the house. Perhaps there's something there, but not obvious from a distance(?) Maybe just not thought to be needed?
A few of you have solar panels. Is there a heavy duty grounding system that may not be obvious?

Mine are grounded with #6 copper to a ground rod. The more important part to protect IS the electronics, and I use several Delta brand arrestors on both the DC and AC sides.

I installed a #4 ground cable from the collector frame to the steel trusses/posts in my house. The posts are bolted down to the concrete foundation and are a very good ground because they are part of the reinforcing rod/Ufer ground system.

But the high amperage of a lightening strike could easily overpower that #4 wire. I'm thinking of install lightening rods made from 3/4" copper clad ground rods that would bolt directly to the heavy steel trusses below the roof deck.
