I would buy local. First, go to your dealer and show him your other quotes.

I got $900 off the original quote on a 4140 from my LS dealer.

My local Kubota dealer is six (6) miles from my home.

Non-warranty transport charge in relatively low cost north Florida is $2.00 per mile, loaded or unloaded.

Two round trips = four travel segments = 4 X 6 miles = 24 miles X $2 = $48.00

I appreciate all of the input. I went to my local dealership today to buy the MT125 and During my visit I jumped on the XJ2025. It never fails! Now I am torn between the two which is pretty standard. I致e created spreadsheets breaking down size, capabilities, cost etc. I will be primarily using the tractor to maintain my driveway, dig footings for future structures, trenches etc. Most of my property is heavily wooded so there will be trees that I will occasionally drop and need to move to the bonfire or wood stacks. My gut is to go with the XJ2025 but my budget minded conscious says MT125. As stated previously, I don't intend on selling or replacing it (unless it dies). Based on my research and feedback in the forums both tractors seem like they would be more than capable for what I need.

Does it makes sense to spend the the additional 3k for the XJ? Over the lifetime of the tractor the difference is minimal but I don稚 plan on financing so the initial hit is more substantial. Thanks again!

My reason for opting out of the 2025:

To mount the MMM, you have to remove the BH subframe. I don't have to do that with the 125. When shopping (you can review my old threads), people asked me why I wanted to mow with the BH on. I don't. But I didn't want to have to remove the subframe all the time either and have a six foot piece of steel frame laying around.

Diggin, point taken. I have a feeling that the BH will be I. The machine for the majority of its life. I won稚 me mowing with it either but I completely agree, having that monstrosity laying around is a major drawback. Thanks!

What dealers have you looked at in SE Michigan? I'm starting to shop for a tractor, and LS is on the list of dealers I want to visit.

Hi HomerGuy, I致e been to both Aeschliman and Summit Powersports. I haven稚 made it to Paul痴 in Clio (the other two were in the same direction for me). I liked the people at both but if I can make a decision haha I will likely go to Aeschliman for a few reasons. They are the closest to me, they are without a doubt 鍍ractor people and you could tell their service area was worked in. In all fairness I didn稚 see Summit痴 service area but Aeschliman痴 looked seasoned, which is an indication they dig into machine痴 if needed. Good luck!
