Just hooked up the blade today to check out its operation. Works fine angling but intermittent on the up/down. I then diconnected the up /down hoses and now I cannot get one hose to connect properly. Is it because the cylinder is under load? advice please the blade is in the up positon off the ground right now?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Wrap the hose tip with a rag, and carefully press on the ball in the end of the male fitting. Oil will come out when the spring pressure behind the ball is exceeded. Protect your eyes and clothes. That will relieve the pressure.

Check that you have the hoses connected to the right lift and angle levers. Usually the intermittent is on the angle side, and is caused by a valve not closed (it shuts off the oil going to the deck lift cylinder, if I remember correctly). Look in the manual for that fitting and that condition.

And - turn the tractor off and wiggle the levers back and forth to relieve any pressure on the tractor side.
