Root grubbing with my GC1705

I'm learning to clear out small saplings and vines and small tree stumps. About the biggest I've successfully tackled is in the 3-4 inch range anything larger I really have to abuse the tractor. I cleared about a 35-40 x 15 foot bank Saturday. It is all trial and error for me because it is my 1st loader. I found that I can raise the blade and bump the stump to loosen and then go low and use the curl function to pull it out. Any tips would be appreciated.

I usually cut the tree with about 12" to 18" high stump, and under 6" diameter I just scoop up with the front end loader bucket.

6" to 12" I usually let it sit for a year or two, and choke the stump with a chain and gentle tug on the stump.

12" to 24" I usually use the backhoe, and I've had some tough Tamarack stumps that do not want to be removed at all.

Stick it low and curl the bucket up, that is where the power is and that is how I got this rock out, the only reason I knew the rock was there is that I hit it with the teeth on my box blade, took two tries to get it out and it did not even mark the Piranha bar.
