All that being true, the fact that a modification is done to the rops does not
automatically mean it is unsafe. Modifications should be made by capable people, (no place for amateurs). and of course the modifier will have to accept the liability for their work (ok, I wouldn't sue myself). Simply not selling the mod with the tractor will eliminate any future concerns, (I never sell anything I have the liability for).
Besides, I'll bet most users don't wear their seat belt, in which case their rops looses much of its ability to protect the operator, and then operator looses much of that ability to sue the Mfr. your concerned about.
