Andy,
The manual says the TN75D 4WD with cab doors and windows closed; maximum noise level at the steering wheel at 18.64 mph is 80 dB. – that’s full throttle. RPMs are low compared to this during loader work.
I'd like to know the actual dB level in the cab during operation - would be nice for NH to add this on the RPM display.
I used the bucket to push snow Saturday night in low gear, 4WD and differential locked at times (just flipping a rocker-switch is cool!) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif had rpms up a little, but sound (bass preset) rattled through my veins, though Pink Floyd may not be the typical tune heard in these things /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Wonder if we have the same make/model speakers?
Andy, part of my enjoyment with tractors, is hearing them run… especially at auctions (like MacFadden’s
http://www.macfaddens.com/auctions.html in Sharon Springs) where many tractors are running simultaneously. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Even with the thunder of rumbles, popping and backfires… everyone hears when another tractor starts up. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
BTW: the lighting is excellent with the headlights, sidelights, front and rear worklights - can see completely around the tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
- Today my son and I worked on trimming small branches along our roads. He used clippers or a small chain-saw from the bucket, while I operated the TN. We used cheap COBRA FRS-225 2-way radios to communicate. Heard each other fine, except when he ran the saw. Then, the horn would get his attention.
