Rotary Broom

I would like to know if any one has ever had or used a
MF 2330 Rotary Broom??
I have a long drive and I have Bricks in it and some times when
using the Mf2340 I flip out bricks and have to stop and re set them and
some times it is not very easy to do ...
So has any one ever used a Rotary Broom
What do u think of them

I don't have any experience with rotary brooms, but here is a comment from a Kubota dealer in the "front mounted water blower" thread in the Kubota section today:

"I like the broom idea for you. You would need to buy the pto kit for the subframe but the brooms are used in this area at schools for snow removal and work well till the snow fall gets over a foot deep."

I think I'm one of very few rotary broom owners. I'm not convinced that everyone needs a broom but I find ways to sell mine.

Snow removal - If it has not been packed down or too deep.
Dethatching lawns - Number one reason I bought it.
Removing rocks from grass after the snow melts- Man I get a lot of work this way.
Cleaning parking lots -not as good as a street sweeper. You need to keep the RPM down and the wind at your back.

Mine is a JD 60". I do this stuff for a living. They are too $$ for a toy.

I should check back more often.

Dethatching it is awesome. The JD broom angles, so you can windrow the thatch. You need to be able to get the dead grass out of the yard. Try taking it to the street. Then large shovel or put the bucket back on.

Low RPM in high gear. All that is left is the good solid rooted grass.
