I do have the overrun clutch, and I am very glad for it.
[SOUNDGUY SAID: On the bogging issue, I'm gonna guess your governor is worn a bit. Also... you might play with your carn main screw.. enrich about 1/4 turn and see if that helps any. Does it have good spark? ( does a hair of choke help it any when it bogs? If it does.. check spark or mainjet.. ) Soundguy]
Thanks Soundguy. I just got my factory service manual in. I will take a look next week. My wife and I had our 12th wedding anniv. in May and we are going on our 1st big vacation since the honeymoon. Going on a short cruise.

FWJ, I will try that, thanks!
[Andy said: ...you mentioned that you moved the lever to full throttle. Why wasn't it at full to start with? I recommend that you fix your governor, set it at the factory recommended RPM and use the tractor at that governed RPM. When you do have to stop to let the old Fergie catch her breath lift the mower or pull out into an area that has already been mowed. ]
Thanks Andy about the idea of letting it catch its breath and moving out of the high stuff to restart mowing. One ? though: My owners manual says my pto is at 545 rpm with engine at 1500 rpm and max is 2200 rpm on the engine. So should I be mowing at full throttle or 1500 rpm. BTW, I do not have a tachometer, so knowing where 1500 is might be kinda hard.
